In his words, the opening of the Honorary Consulate in Ruse is a historic event for the city, creating many new opportunities for the development of bilateral relations and business between the two countries.

He described the potential for expanding business relations as significant but emphasized that improving connectivity is the key factor for unlocking it. Victor Gugushev pointed to his work as Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce as one of the reasons for accepting the position of Honorary Consul, as well as a foundation for achieving better practical results.

The dynamics in sectors such as the food industry, transport, and logistics are particularly intense, and some Bulgarian companies are market leaders in their respective sectors in Romania. Victor Gugushev expressed hope that the active work of the Chamber and the Honorary Consulate will intensify the interest from major Romanian businesses in Bulgaria.
