Fifth Annual Meeting with the Ambassadors in Bulgaria / 02.07.2021 г.
On July 1, 2021, the Fifth Annual Meeting with the Accredited Ambassadors in Bulgaria was held at Hotel Balkan, organized by the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum.
The event traditionally provides a platform for discussions between the private sector, the diplomatic corps and representatives of the executive branch in the country. The theme this year was "Restoring Bulgarian business: plans and prospects."
Official guests were Svetlan Stoev, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Asen Vassilev, Minister of Finance, Irena Mladenova, Deputy Minister of Economy, and Zaritsa Dinkova, Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the diplomatic partner of the meeting was the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bulgaria Christoph Eichhorn. Ambassadors and diplomats from 33 countries took part in the discussion, as well as C level executives of over 40 leading companies from the BBLF community, including Gugushev & Partners Law Firm, represented by Mr. Victor Gugushev, Partner, Ms. Boryana Zareva, Director Business Development and Mr. Stefan Kyosev, Business Development Associate at the Law Firm.
Mr. Victor Gugushev addressed a question to Minister Vassilev regarding the status of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, an instrument created at the suggestion of the European Commission and aimed at sustainable, coherent and fair recovery of member states from the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The caretaker Minister of Finance replied that according to recommendations from Brussels, this plan should be approved by a regularly elected National Assembly.
