On July 8 and 9, 2021, Sofia and President Rumen Radev hosted the Sixth Meeting of the Three Seas Initiative. The prestigious international forum is a platform for international cooperation and convergence of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe with access to the Black, Baltic and Adriatic Seas.

The event took place in the form of several discussion panels, accessible both in-person and online. On behalf of the Gugushev & Partners Law Office, the forum was attended by Mr. Victor Gugushev. The sustainable economic development of the region was discussed mainly in the areas of energy, transport, digital connections and innovation. At the meetings state and business, representatives exchanged experience and plans for the strategic development of the region.

The forum was attended by the presidents of Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Slovenia and the Hellenic Republic, as well as a number of governmental representatives from the countries. US President Joe Biden also joined in with a video address. The state leaders commented on the positives of deepening regional interconnectedness in the framework of common European policies. The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund - Ms. Kristalina Georgieva also pointed out the positive trend in the countries of the Initiative regarding their steps to overcome the crisis caused by Covid-19.
