Qualifications:  Master's degree in Bank Management from D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, Svishtov and Bachelor's degree in Finance, University of National and World Economy, Sofia.

Position and area of competence: Desislava is Finance Director of the company. Within the company she is in charge of:

  • daily management and analysis of all financial and business activities, including project management.
  • assessment and management of ongoing business model and portfolio,
  • shareholders’ reporting, business planning, strategic forecasts, financial prognosis, annual budgets and analysis,
  • preparation of performance reports and analysis of processes, flows and operations, including analysis of possible optimizations and development of related strategies.
  • communication on financial matters with major counterparties, such as financial institutions, banks, Customs, IBEX etc.

Experience: Desislava has extensive and colourful financial services background and vast experience in project, structured, leveraged, acquisition and general corporate financing, as well as with syndicated loans. Desislava has outstanding knowledge and expertise in financial assessment and analysis, cash-flow modelling and forecasting. With her strong expertise in project development, client relationship, entire loan origination, successful negotiations, structuring, closing and monitoring, she is a perfect add to our agile and growing team.

She has participated in many of the most sizeable, sophisticated, customized tailor-made and complex local landmark Bulgarian Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) transactions, executed under the umbrella of one of the leading local and CEE financial institutions.

Desislava has excellent knowledge of the energy field as a whole and especially in the renewable energy sector and its developments in Europe for the last 14 years. She has participated with leading role in many local sizeable greenfield renewable energy projects (incl. water, wind and solar) with more than 500MW installed capacity, originated back in 2010-2012 during the first wave and managed in the decade afterwards. Some of more notable ones are: 60MW PV plant near Karadjalovo village, 60MW and 156MW wind farms in Kavarna region, portfolio of 100MW PV plants across the entire country, a portfolio of HPPs on Iskar River etc.

After 2015, Desislava worked also with most of the key bank customers, across all economy sectors and gained further experience in many corporate investment and acquisition financings in metals and metal processing sector, telecommunications, mining and manufacturing etc.

  • Senior advisory and supervision for highly complex, sophisticated and customized project and structured finance transactions, incl. acquisitions, with focus on syndicated/club loan transactions (local and international).
  • Origination, developing and facilitating negotiations, financial analysis, modelling and forecasting, structuring, closing, execution and monitoring of CIB transactions across all economy sectors and corporate segments;
  • Structuring and coordinating the entire syndication process; proficiency in legal aspects related to bank financing documentation under Bulgarian or English law, dealing with LMA standard set of documents;
  • Management of junior team members, mentoring etc.
